New releases from Barbie - photos are here

In my regular newsletter from Vogue's Collectibles, and I was delighted to see several new photos in there. Both sets are ready for pre-order from your favorite Barbie dealer.

First, a set that is terribly tempting to the shoe fetish that reside deep in my sole, is the Christian Louboutin Shoe pack. This Gold Label set retails for $69.95 and includes nine pairs of adorable shoes (replicas of actual shoes from the Louboutin line) and a few shoe boxes. They are so cute. These are due to ship in September 2010.

Second, the next in line for the Ladies of the 80s series, Jennifer Beals from 1983's Flashdance. She retails for $39.95, and I believe she uses the Mackie face mold. Her outfit uses the sweatshirt and leg warmers. The chair isn't included, and the pillows are chipboard and a part of the packaging. My only comment here is one noted by Dolls of Color's latest blog, and that's the color of her skin--she's very white, which I find rather interesting, to say the least.
These aren't quite ready for pre-order yet. From the Barbie Basics line, we've seen photos of the new Barbie Basics Wave 2. I must add Wave 2 #2, as Steffie is a staple in this house. Additionally, I've finally found real promo photos of the Basic 1.5 Shoe Pack Accessory #8, which includes 18 pairs of shoes. CUte! Love the zebra! And more fun clothing, jacket, skirt and purse accessories are included in Basic Look 1.5 Accessory #5 set. Both retail for #22.99.

Barbie Basics - Target Exclusives

Hang onto your hats--this adorable set of three Barbie Basics will be a fun Target exclusive available in the fall of 2010. The set will also include a red and white accessory pack and a second accessory pack.

Additionally, the Barbie Basics line will also release two more shoe packs and another Fashion accessory pack.

(Eeek--one of these ladies is Steffi, no bangs! And we actually don't have either of the other two dolls in black dresses yet, either. Love them--all three!)

New Barbies announced and available for pre-order!

Several new Barbies (and friends) have been announced. I heard about these from My Favourite Doll in Canada.

• Mad Men Roger Sterling--Sterling Cooper partner's silver haired companion doll. He is ready for pre-order now, for $79.95. Estimated delivery is July 2010.
• For you Twilight fans, I'm thrilled to announce the lovely Alice. With her wonderful short brown flip and golden eyes, she comes dressed in her standard fashionable outfit: a peasant blouse, velvet vest, and skinny jeans. She's available for pre-order for $34.95 with a fall 2010 delivery date.
• Victoria is also available. Fashionably dressed in a glamorous coast, striped vest and purple blouse, and skinny jeans with black boots, don't let her beautiful fiery red curls distract you from her evil intentions. Retail price is $29.95 and she's expected in fall 2010 as well.

MFD will be closed for the holidays next week, from May 10-15. But they also advertise that they have both the Christian Louboutin Anemone Barbie in stock now, and will have Palm Beach Coral (Silkstone) next week.

Mad Men Barbies announced for 2010

Three new Barbies have been announced for 2010 with a Mad Men theme from the Fashion Model Collection. They are available for preorder now from your favorite Mattel dealer:

• Don Draper (shipping June) retail $74.95. Don comes dressed in a spiffy gray suit, white dress shirt, striped tie, fedora hat, brown trench coat and faux leather briefcase.
• Joan Halloway (shipping June) retail $74.95. June is dressed in a navy knee-length skirt and blouse with a belt, red scarf with gold pin and gold jewelry, and black bag and pumps.
• Betty Draper (shipping June) retail $74.95. Betty is dressed in a floral printed cocktail dress with a bubble hem, with a gray ruched bodice and large bow and shoes. She's wearing a string of elegant pearls for accessories.

2010 Fashion Royalty - Be dazzled!

Two new lines have been posted in the Fashion Royalty section of Integrity Toys' website. The dolls are ready for pre-order from your Integrity dealers. First, the Foundation collection:

• Staying Power, Darius Reid. LE 500. Black hair. Navy blue suit with subtle pin-stripe, white shirt with removable collar.

2010 Poppy Parker is up!

With new facial screening, featuring 1960s era cat-eye make-up, be sure to check out Poppy's new line. Several new dressed dolls and outfits are available:

2010 Dynamite Girls Vintage Vinyl

Be sure to visit the Integrity Toys Dynamite Girls page today to see the full collection details, including photos. The dolls have new leg and knee sculpts as well as new facial sculpts. Four new Dynamite Girls have been announced in their thrift store chic outfits, all are limited editions of 500 and retail for $40:

• Rufus Blue, long brunette hair in twin ponytails, this year you'll see her dressed in pink shorts and a white blouse patterned with pink and black polkadots, tied with a tie. Over all that she wears a short-sleeved vest, belted with a patent belt. Black pumps complete her ensemble.
• Reese looks super sweet with her long black hair tied back with a green bow, in green button-trimmed shorts and a chiffon blouse with a ruffled neckline and puffed sleeves. Yellow socks and turquoise open toe sling-backs give her just the right vintage feel.

2010 ITBE photos are up!

Integrity Toys is busy updating the website with its 2010 collection. The first new additions I've found are the new 2010 Integrity Toys Basic Editions. There are five new dressed dolls. All are limited editions of 1000:

• Desirable, a platinum caucasian dressed in a black cocktail dress with matching belt and pumps, and silver bracelet.
• Luscious, an African American doll with black hair piled in a dramatic up-do, dressed in an elegant white dress with puffed shoulders, belt and bracelet, and white pumps.
• Complicated, a caucasian doll with honey blonde hair in a double-layer royal blue dress with black trim, black pumps.
• Confident, a caucasian doll with light red hair, in a chic belted pink shirt dress, gold bracelets and pink platform sandals.
• Romantic, a caucasian brunette doll with long hair, wearing a flowing pink day dress with ruffled trim at the neckline, bracelet, and pink open-toe sling back shoes. 

If the clothing looks half as good as the promotional photos, I think we'll be in for a real treat for these lovelies. Last year, ITBEs ran for $25 each. I wonder if they will be increasing the price, due to the detailing of the outfits. They look really nice, I have to admit!

Update: Since this original post, I have discovered that these new 2010 ITBE dolls will be sold for $25 retail. Hooray!

More Barbie news

The next in the Ladies of the 80s series will be Jennifer Beals from Flashdance. (Woo hoo!) No photo is available yet, but the retail price is listed at $39.99 with a shipping date still to be determined.

Wave 2 of the Basic Black Barbies have also been introduced, and there are four more lovely ladies to choose from. These ladies will retail from $19.99-24.99. Shipping dates on these lovelies are also still to be announced. Their black gowns are taffeta, and are trimmed with hot pink.

• #1 has long brunette hair with bangs, and a bubble skirt dress.
• #2 (pretty sure this is a Steffie sculpt) has gorgeous red curls, and a strapless black dress with attached skirt.
• #3 is wearing her nearly black hair in a short, modern bob, and has a asymmetrical gown with a ruffled shoulder. Instead of a pink belt, she has a pink bracelet.
• #4 has a long platinum ponytail and a babydoll style gown with an empire waist.
